Erika Peters

 
 

Erika Peters is a 2023 graduate of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling program at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. Additionally, she is completing an Advanced Certificate in Self-Psychology and Religion at the Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago. Erika is also a graduate of SUNY Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Education minor.

Using a psychodynamic approach, Erika empowers individuals to live authentic lives. She believes in the power of building trusting relationships with those she serves. Meeting individuals where they’re at is essential to her as a mental health professional. Erika’s specialties and interests include neurodiversity, chronic pain and illness, trauma recovery, depression and anxiety, body image, and self-esteem.

Erika’s passion for social justice and commitment to advocating for marginalized populations have been a driving force throughout her education and personal experiences. She is affirming of the LGBTQIA+ community and embrace decolonizing perspectives.
